Description
Caesar's Forum Shops looks magnificent from The Strip, with its Roman statues and columns, and its replica of the Trevi Fountain in Rome (as seen above). The best part is when you go inside the Forum Shops! Here, you can see "roman ruins" that look like those found in the Forum in Rome. There is gorgeous lighting and amazing Roman details on the ceilings, staircases, everywhere! On the hour, check out the show by the fountain near Cheesecake Factory. There, lifelike figures move while sound effects, fire, smoke, and lighting add to the drama, depicting an ancient fight between the Roman gods. You will be impressed! It's a great show to take kids to, and you can eat at yummy Cheesecake Factory afterwards, which is a gorgeous chain restaurant with good prices and consistently good food. There is a nice aquarium behind the fountain too. Inside Forum Shops, there is also an FAO Schwarz Toy Store with a huge- I mean HUGE- statue of a horse at the entrance. Don't miss the Forum Shops- it is an architectural masterpiece!
South of the Forum Shops is the Caesar's Palace Hotel and Casino. I only saw it from outside. The statues are wonderful. The formal gardens need a little work, but it's great to stroll through.
Cross over the pedestrian bridge to the south and check out Bellagio Resort, with its stunning fountain show seen from The Strip- best to catch at night. See the stained-glass ceiling in the foyer, and the art gallery.
Or, head north and check out The Mirage, with its lush landscaping you can see from The Strip, its volcano that erupts at night, and its coral aquarium and white tigers, in the casino. Stop and enjoy a pizza at California Pizza Kitchen inside the casino.
