Aweoweo Beach Park has everything you need for a great afternoon! It is a friendly place- everyone comes out here when they get off work or on weekend mornings! There are kids on the playground, people skateboarding, bike riding, picnicking, playing basketball, surfing, swimming. It's a fun scene! This is a popular park because it has a much nicer playground than most playgrounds on Oahu. Kids love this playground for its spinner, curved climbeys, strange slide of two metal poles, monkey bars, bar to hang from, twisty climbey, metal hammock chair, high area to look out from, and spongey base. The mountain views and cute houses across the street make for a lovely view from the playground area. You can also see the ocean from the playground!

The beach is a great place for kids to swim because the water is shallow and calm. Little waves bounce you into a meditative calm. The sand is quite steep and you sink deep into it! The palm trees lining the beach look so lovely, making shadows on the sand. The water is clear and turquoise.
While you're in Waialua, visit the Waialua Sugar Mill Shops for a really fun and friendly experience! There's a handmade soap factory, surf shop, and chocolate/coffee growers. Do personal tours, enjoy samples, and stamp your own soap! We had such a great time here!
Take a stroll or bike ride along the Waialua Beach Rd bike path. It runs along Waialua Beach Rd for 1.4 miles with views of the mountains and flowers and a lovely tropical feel.
Aweoweo Beach Park is in Waialua, which is eight minutes drive west of Haleiwa Alii Beach, a super beach for learning to surf. It is eleven minutes drive east of Mokuleia Beach.
