Description
Keo must be a perfectionist because his restaurant comes closer to perfection than any restaurant I've been to. It is our family tradition to dine here for birthdays and it feels like the greatest treat!
When you enter Keo's, you first notice the spectacular arrangements of exotic flowers throughout the restaurant. Keo grows these, as well as his own herbs and spices, at a farm he bought on the North Shore.
Next you notice the delightful bronze statues scattered throughout the restaurant.
Start your meal with an Evil Jungle Princess cocktail. When I was younger I used to order this drink without alcohol: a Virgin Evil Jungle Princess. She sounds like quite a character, doesn't she?! The drink is made of jack fruit and it's delicious!
My favorite appetizers are the Green Papaya Salad and the Spring Rolls. You roll up the Spring Rolls with the peanut sauce, mint, and leaves of lettuce. Yum!
You won't believe how yummy the food is here! It's like heaven for the taste buds! Try the Panang Curry, the Evil Jungle Prince Curry, the BBQ Pork Chops, or the Grilled Salmon in Red Curry Sauce.
For dessert, the Tapioca pudding is warm and milky and will leave you with a dreamy smile on your face.
I don't add many restaurants as single entries to LotsaFunMaps because in general I don't consider them good enough to be an actual destination. Usually I feel I could have cooked something better on my own and saved a whole lot of waiting around and money. But Keo's is a place you do NOT want to miss out on! Unfortunately the location isn't my favorite, with buses going by, but there are tons of palms outside and it's still a pretty view.
After your dinner, walk down to Waikiki Beach to walk hand in hand along the Waikiki Oceanfront Stroll.
