Arena Green Rope Playground, San Jose, San Francisco California

Description

Arena Green is a cool place! Here amongst trees and across the street from the big HP Pavilion is a playground made entirely of huge rope climbies. Your kids can have a blast climbing all manner of rope configurations, one like a bridge, one like a pyramid, and more. Next to the rope playground is a playground for toddlers, with a play structure like a house, swings, and three bouncies. All around are sloping sidewalks that teens can skateboard down. There are shady modern picnic tables beside the playgrounds. Depending on the day and season (see below), the carousel is open- it has unusual animals for a carousel, like a shark! Come here to unwind after a day spent in downtown San Jose.
If you're hungry, there's a nice development on the corner of The Alameda and W. Julian St, with a subway sandwiches store. Grab a sandwich and bring it to the playground with you!
While you're in San Jose make sure you don't miss the Tech Innovation Museum- it's interactive, colorful, and wonderful for all ages.
