Description
Paradise Store & Grill is a rustic live music venue and grill up in the mountains above Santa Barbara with views over forest and parkland. A sunny Sunday afternoon spent at Paradise Store & Grill is what life is all about! Happy people gather on the huge back balcony while country music wafts through the air. Sunlight pours down over the large space, while tall trees from the Los Padres forest provide shade. A camping store with a grill offering tri-tip sandwiches, burgers, and a wide selection of bottled beers provide the grub. The front balcony is also lovely with views over open countryside.
I like Paradise Store & Grill better than Cold Spring Tavern because it is on the sunny side of the mountain, as opposed to the damp, dark side. Paradise Store & Grill feels expansive and warm while Cold Spring Tavern feels cozy amid the cold.
Live music is scheduled most Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday afternoons. Check the schedule here.
Also on Paradise Rd, check out the Santa Ynez River, a quiet place where you can skid rocks and might even see deer! If you continue on Highway 154, you will come to Lake Cachuma which has a fun nature center, playground and picnic areas overlooking the white cliffs and blue water of the lake. If the views from Highway 154 awed you, take them in for longer at Lizard's Mouth, where after a short hike in, you come to caves with panoramic views.

Paradise Store & Grill is located at 1 Paradise Road, Santa Barbara CA 93105, call (805) 967-3254.
Exit Highway 101 at the State St/Highway 154 exit and follow the signs to Highway 154. Follow Highway 154 for ten miles enjoying stunning views over the coast. After you cross a large bridge, turn right on Paradise Rd. After 1/3 mile, you'll see Paradise Store & Grill on your right. There is plenty of parking in the front.
Open from 9am to dusk daily.
