Description

Via Marina Park is a large suburban park with tall shade trees. There are soccer fields, new basketball courts, and pathways to walk around. The playground is nice and has a cute pelican bouncy. Parents can rest under the huge shade tree by the playground. Via Marina Park is a sunny, happy spot!
While you're in the area, a nice place to go is Oxnard Beach, where kids can play on the sand dunes. Channel Islands Harbor has some fun activities on holidays. Seaview Park is another pleasant neighborhood park nearby. Peninsula Park is a great park by the harbor where kids can watch the boats go by and toddler will like the playground.
A really nice outing is Port Hueneme Pier, with its white sandy beach and its interesting history.
For some more history, head over to Downtown Oxnard and Heritage Square, with its Victorian houses- at Christmastime the houses are decorated beautifully and you can do a tour.

Directions

From Channel Islands Blvd, turn north on Patterson Rd. Turn left on Lee Pl, and then right on Kelp Street. Park along the road.
