Conejo Valley Botanical Garden is an inspiring place to take a walk. Paths lead past fields of colorful wildflowers (in spring) and clusters of matilija poppies to the top of the hill where panoramic views await. Benches for reflection are strategically placed throughout. Kids really spark up here and the whole family will be in a great mood! The views of neighborhoods, hills, and valleys are lovely.

Take a while to enjoy the cactus garden with its interesting shapes. Conejo Valley Botanical Garden is also known for its wide range of sage plants and rare fruit trees.
Come on a Sunday between 11 and 3 to see the imaginative kid's garden. It contains a crooked treehouse made from a carved-out tree trunk, a "flowerbed" in a wooden bedframe, a dragon peeping out at you from an embankment, a tropical hut with skull entrance, a table with tea sets and wooden tree stumps, a fountain with frog and alligator sculptures, a topiary rabbit, statues, a butterfly-shaped bench, and a real stream that flows past. The sweet pitcher plants by the fountain are gorgeous.
Across the parking lot from the botanical garden is Conejo Community Park with rolling hills, bridge over a stream, oak trees, and an awesome playground with rock-climbing formations connected by ropes.
If you're hungry, drive over and enjoy a gourmet sandwich on the pretty patio outside the food court at The Oaks Mall.
