Th Wyler Aerial Tramway in El Paso is a horrible experience. First you wait in no shade in incredible heat (if it's the hot season) to board the tramway, for about half an hour. The ride up is only impressive because it is steep, but the views are of barren ugliness. When you get to the top there are signs everywhere by the FCC saying that there are higher than humanly tolerated levels of electromagnetic fields, as you are standing directly underneath a cell or radio tower. What on earth? So then you're stuck in higher-than-allowed-for-humans electromagnetic fields for half an hour while you wait to go back down. What an awful, awful experience. Afterward, you're left to wonder what kind of damage these fields have done to you and your children. How could Texas Parks and Wildlife allow this? Either have the tower or have the tramway, but don’t have both.

There are no warning signs at the bottom, when you could actually turn around. The warning signs are at the top, when you've already paid, and when you have no way of getting back down except to stand in a long line directly under the tower.
Also, beware because the drive up can make your car overheat. My car has never overheated in the fifteen years I've owned it, but it did on the drive up to the tramway, I guess because of how steep the drive is and how hot the weather is.
A lovely place to eat and hang out in El Paso is Fountains at Farah at Cielo Vista Mall.

Open Friday and Saturday 12-7, and Sunday 10-5.
Admission is $8 for adults, and $4 for kids.
