If you like planes, you will be impressed at the Blackbird Airpark! Here you can get up close with the Lockheed SR-71A! Other planes are the A-12, the first blackbird ever flown, and the U-2D, a spy plane. The D-21 is a drone. Check out the gift shop and then head next door to the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark. Ths museum pays tribute to Plant 42 and the inventions created there. There are twenty-one vintage aircraft displayed, including the F-105 Thunderchief.

Near the freeway exit to get here, on 10th St W, there are a lot of great cafes, like Q & Q Hawaiian, Panda Express, and The Habit Burger, plus a Trader Joe's supermarket.
After, walk around Lancaster town.

Blackbird Airpark and Joe Davies Heritage Airpark are located at 2503 E. Ave P, Palmdale, CA 93550.
Both are open Fri-Sun 11-4. Closed on federal holidays.
Entrance is free.
