Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Bch

For airplane geeks, this place is an absolute paradise! There are top-of-the-line flight simulators in a room with red lighting. A room with a wall lined with windows looks out on the little planes that you will fly from your first week in college! A model airplane hangs from the ceiling in the dining hall. There is even a museum of model airplanes. A large percentage of commercial pilots are trained here at Embry-Riddle. Students can also study aviation maintenance, air traffic management, space physics, human factors psychology (ergonomics etc), computer science, business, and a multitude of practical majors. There are of course clubs that appeal to techies, such as skydiving club, scuba club, jeep club, robotics association, and more. Only a small fraction of students are female, so it's a great place to meet a guy!! Tuition is high at this private university, a little over $30,000. ERAU is located in Daytona Beach, a pretty town by the ocean with plenty of trees and a nice feel to it.
