Monterey Harbor is a small harbor with pretty views of Fisherman's Wharf. Walk along the path with railing and check out the docked boats. Hear the water swoosh on the rocks below. You might even see a seal swim by. Colorful Fisherman's Wharf up ahead will beckon you for a stroll. The historic Custom House with its pastel balcony, the dark green Monterey cypress trees, and the hill where the presidio sits all add to the beauty of this area.
While in Monterey, take a day to do the Big Sur Coastline Drive to San Simeon. It is something you will always remember!
There is plenty of parking at the harbor in the huge Fisherman's Wharf parking lot. From Del Monte Ave, turn toward the water on Washington St and you are in the parking lot. Use your credit card to pay at the machines.
