Eastgate Crossing Plaza, Chapel Hill

Eastgate Crossing is a modern shopping plaza with flower pots, pretty trees with fall leaves, and some nice stores and restaurants. The most delicious is Shake Shack, where you can enjoy the best burger you've tasted!

A Trader Joe's and a Whole Foods (up the stairs behind Dollar Tree) make this a handy spot for healthy groceries. 
There is a Clean Juice Bar, Twisted Noodles (Thai food), Chopt (counter-service salads), and The Loop Pizza Grill. It's fun to browse the Hallmark store. Eastgate Crossing often floods, in the area where the creek flows, so cafes come and go.
Go up the stairs behind Dollar Tree and you'll find a Staples, Whole Foods Market (with a large seating area by its deli), and a cafe with healthy bowls called Cava. Around the tall apartment building, Berkshire, find Osteria Georgi (Italian), The Casual Pint, and Alpaca Peruvian Charcoal Chicken.
From Eastgate Crossing Plaza near Starbucks, walk across Franklin Street and go for a stroll on the shady one-mile Lower Booker Creek bike path.
