This is a magical walk along a lake, past cypress knees. There is much to enjoy, including baby alligators, birds, wooden boardwalks, jungle, and houses with pretty architecture.

The lake part is shady in the afternoon. Park at 1217 Aquila Loop. Continue along Aquila Loop past mansions. Take the wooden boardwalk bridge to the other side of the lake. Here you will find gorgeous cypress trees with knees sticking up in the water- magical! Turn left to dive into the forest. Turn left on Oak Shadows Rd. Turn right on White Moss Lane and immediately right, into the forest. At the end of the forest path, make a circle around the pond to enjoy the scenery. Then turn right on Oak Pond Drive. Follow Oak Pond Drive and then turn left on Deer Woods Road. Continue on Deer Woods Road and take the gorgeous path through Deerwoods Park. Lovely trees! Turn right on Oak Shadows Rd. Turn left into the forest path. In the forest, turn left twice. You will end up on Aquila Loop and can head back to your car.
