Dickson Azalea Park is a gorgeous place! Old amazing trees tower above you as you approach it. Then you walk down steps to get to the park, as it is recessed. This makes it calm from wind, and magical. There are stone walls in random spots here and there. A stream runs through the park, and a pretty archway takes you under the road. In March, Azalea flowers of white and purple add to the sweet feeling at this park. Continue on to Langford Park, which has a fantastic modern playground and plenty of picnic tables and pavilions. Huge trees and winding pathways make this park a winner as well.
Come on the weekend when it's more crowded at the park since the recessed nature of the park makes it too secluded.
After, have a nutella croissant and a cup of tea at Benjamin Bakery- lovely! It is a thirteen minute walk directly west. This is near Lake Eola, another spectacular place to walk.
Lake Davis is also a sweet place to walk in Downtown Orlando.
Dickson Azalea Park is located at 100 Rosearden Dr, Orlando, FL 32803. There is free parking along the nearby streets. Some have "no parking" signs, so choose a street carefully.
