It's lovely to check out all the side streets on Palm Beach Island that have sidewalks! For other side streets, check out the ones by Brazillian Ave and Pan's Garden, and also the ones by Wells Road. On the island, the side streets are lined with coconut trees, manicured hedges reaching to the sky, and flowers. Many of the mansions have wonderful lanterns, gothic windows, sides covered in ivy or bougainvillea, and statues. It is a feast for the eyes!

I love the side streets by Seabreeze Ave. Start at Four Arts Garden, checking out its beautiful statues and trees. From there, walk along the S. Lake Trail on the glistening intracoastal waterway until you reach Seaspray Ave. Take Seaspray Ave all the way to the ocean. Then take Seabreeze Ave, my favorite of the streets, back to the S. Lake Trail. Do a similar zigzag to see Clarke Ave (use Primavera Way to get to Clarke Ave) and Barton Ave (use Pendleton Ln to get back to the S. Lake Trail). At Barton Ave, you will see Bethesda by the Sea Church. Pop into their lovely, formal garden. Then continue to the S. Lake Trail and take it north to Flagler Mansion and the kapok tree. In the morning, the intracoastal looks like a Monet impressionist painting here.
Now turn around and head back to your car on the S. Lake Trail, enjoying the yachts, and modern skyline of West Palm Beach across the water. There is plenty of shade in the morning. This is a 3.5 mile walk.
