Pomponio Beach
Stand on the sandstone ledges above Pomponio Beach and watch the waves pound on the shore. The sand is clean and golden. During high tide, the beach to the north is almost enveloped and one can't walk along it. Sit on the lovely rocky ledges and watch the sunset! Or walk along the vast stretch of beach to the south.
Don't miss out on lovely San Gregorio Beach, just north of here, with its cave and lagoon.

From Hwy 1, turn into this beach at the large sign. There is a parking lot and restrooms. The pay booth is for you to self-pay (honor system). $10 covers parking for all state beaches for one day. The beach is right by the parking lot!
