Kiwanis Youth Park, Stuart

Kiwanis Youth Park in Stuart has an amazing accessible playground with unusual play equipment. There is a roller tunnel, accessible seesaw, airplane bouncy, modern see saw, plastic dome to peek through, and roller slide. On the other side is a super cute area with a wonky house playground, truck that is also a house playground, musical toddler playground, Floridian boat to climb in, baby swing, double swings that face each other, and sensory play area. 

A third area has plenty of swings, a tire swing, a metal dome climby, and a medium-sized big kids playground. There are plenty of benches in the shade where parents can sit, plus large shade pavilions. White sand dotted with many leaves is below the play equipment on one side, and spongy rubber on the other. A fence covered in jasmine and tropical flowers surrounds the park. This area feels slightly industrial but it's just a short walk to downtown Stuart and a fun park to play at!
Nearby is Memorial Park, which is a bit rundown. At Christmastime it has a circle walk of Christmas trees decorated by local real estate companies. It is a pleasant enough outing, if a bit dinky. The royal palms at the entrance, in two long rows with lights around their trunks, are pretty. The wastewater plant is between Kiwanis Youth Park and Memorial Park, and there is a pungent smell at one of these parks, depending on the wind direction. Avoid Memorial Park if the wind direction is from the south. Avoid Kiwanis Youth Park if the wind direction is from the east.

Directions

Kiwanis Youth Park is located at 99 SE 5th St, Stuart FL 34994. It is on the corner of Colorado Ave (the northern end of Kanner Hwy) and 5th St. From Highway 95, exit at Kanner Hwy and follow it for six miles to the northeast into Stuart. Turn right on 5th St and then left into the parking lot for the park.
