Sandsprit Park is a very inspiring place because of the views! The colors of the water are just amazing! Sandbars create stripes of luminous blue-green water. An island beckons to be explored (if you canoe to it). Fishermen hang out at the docks. There are plenty of benches, picnic tables with shade covers, and a fun playground with a pelican bouncy, see saw, monkey bars in a circle, sandy floor, and slides, all with a view of the water. The best part is standing where you can see the views of the mansions across the water and watching the clear water splash against the shore below you. The park itself is very dry but there is still some shade to be found here and there.

After, have a meal at one of Port Salerno's waterfront restaurants.
Continue your walk by strolling along St Lucie Blvd to where it meets Bent Banyan Way where you can walk under a canopy of wonderful Banyan trees.
On very cold winter days, you can see manatees in a quiet canal from Manatee Bridge. Drive north of St Lucie Blvd and then park on the bridge at the corner of Indian Street and St Lucie Blvd- the address is 2601 SE St Lucie Blvd. You can park your car in the spaces along the north side of the bridge. Look for bubbles in the water, and you will spot the backs of manatees, and their little snouts coming up for breaths of air! See the photos below.
If you want to learn all about the area, go on a Sunshine Wildlife Boat Tour out here in the water- it's wonderful!
Another park right on the intracoastal, just across the water, is Twin Rivers Park where there are two U-shaped boardwalks on the incredible blue-green water and a short, loop trail through the forest. For a tiny park on the intracoastal that is lovely at sunset, check out Cove Road Park and the neighborhood around it.
