Heights Public Market at Armature Works is a fun place to go, and its location on the waterfront makes it even more appealing. Inside you will find twenty or more foodie places. We tried the juice place and had a delicious smoothie. This public market is so popular that it is packed with people on the weekend and the noise level can be quite unpleasant. Although most of the tables are taken, there are still some to be had, and there are also tables outside looking out on the Hillsborough River. Lots of young, hip people come to this public market so it's a good place to people watch.
After, stroll along the Tampa Riverwalk. Heights Public Market is at the northernmost end of the 2.6 mile riverwalk which is fantastic to walk along. Check out the natural spring behind Ulele, just adjacent to the public market. Its blue-green water is just gorgeous. It runs out under a pedestrian bridge and is a joy to behold. This area is magical at night, and also has cute sculptures from nursery rhymes.
Next to Heights Public Market is Water Works Park, which has a huge splash pad for kids.
Heights Public Market is located at 1910 N. Ola Ave, Tampa FL 33602. There is a parking lot which is free Mon-Thurs, and $5 on Friday nights and weekends. There is also street parking nearby. You can catch Pirate Water Taxi to get here too! There is parking for bikes and escooters.
