Faria Beach is a strip of sand alongside Highway 101 between the towns of Ventura and Carpinteria. People park their RVs here and enjoy the water views and the roar of the ocean. On summer days, people from Ventura and further south come here to cool off and play in the sand. Colorful beach umbrellas line the shore and kids squeal with delight. The views of the green mountains are pretty, though marred by the uglier sights of the highway and the RVs. The waves are good for bodyboarding. On a clear day, you can see the Channel Islands and their lovely shape. Expect fog though on most days!
From Highway 101 southbound, exit at Pacific Coast Hwy and turn right on Highway 1.
From Highway 101 northbound, exit at State Beaches, and follow Highway 1 for 4 miles to the north.
