Seein' Spots Farm is located just off Alamo Pintado Rd in Solvang, so it's an easy place to visit combined with a stop at Sunny Fields Playground, which is four minutes drive south. Kids enjoy brushing the animals, including donkeys, goats, sheep, and pigs. There are also turkeys and chickens, and a zonkey! You pay $3 each to enter and pet the animals. Sometimes there is apple picking in the fall but the year we went (2017) the apple harvest had been ruined by a worm. This area is quite dry and dusty.
Four minutes drive north is Clairmont Lavendar Farm, an idyllic spot in June and July. Six minutes north is the town of Los Olivos, where you can hear live music on summer weekends at The Crooked Path.
