Broadway is the main street in Nashville where you can go to hear live country music. There is the dark and narrow honky tonk bar called Robert's Western World, which has a long history in the music world. Behind Robert's Western World, on 5th Ave, stands the red brick Ryman Auditorium, formerly the Grand Ole Opry House, where the local country music radio program hosted the greatest country music stars for thirty years starting in 1943.

For a bar and grill with live music and large windows looking out in both directions, check out Honky Tonk Central, where kids can listen to the music too.
The Johnny Cash Museum is diagonally behind this restaurant, on 3rd Ave.
The Country Music Hall of Fame, in a grand modern building, is two blocks south of Broadway, on 5th Ave.
If you walk three blocks east on Broadway you will come to the Riverfront on the Cumberland River, where grassy steps provide a spot to take in the views.
While in Nashville, take your kids to Andrew Jackson's Hermitage, where they can do an audio tour just for kids- very fun and relaxing!
