Downtown at the Gardens, Palm Bch Gardens

Palm Beach, FL, USA

NOTE: There is construction and the carousel is temporarily closed, plus there is no mini-train (June 2021).
Downtown at the Gardens is a great place to hang out. Not only is it absolutely beautiful with its tropical landscaping, fountains, colorful flowerpots, and wooden bridges, but there are a ton of things for kids to do! It is a two-level outdoor mall, next to Gardens Mall.
Kids love the area near the carousel. Here they can catch a train that takes them through the mall. The train has some really groovy songs, so even parents enjoy it! There is a frozen yogurt place, Fro-Yotopia (where you can also buy train and carousel tickets) that has good flavors. Try the banana flavor, dulce de leche flavor, and the little litchi popper toppings. The carousel has a tropical theme, with paintings of exotic flowers and ocean scenes. Kids can ride a dolphin, sea horses, alligator, or turtle. It's a lot of fun!
Across the street from Downtown at the Gardens is a lake. You can walk by the lake in the huge paved open spaces and across a long bridge. This makes a fun addition to your night out if you go to a restaurant at Downtown at the Gardens. At night, the lake and fountains are beautifully lit. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Grimaldi's brick-oven pizza has delicious food, and you can sit outside, sometimes in a nice strong breeze that keeps the mosquitoes away. Cheesecake Factory has a super outdoor seating area right by the lake.
No matter what, an outing at Downtown at the Gardens makes everyone feel happy and brightens your day!
The Christmas lights at Downtown at the Gardens are incredible! They start two days after Thanksgiving.
