Description
Malaga Cove Plaza is an old, rustic Spanish Renaissance building with arches that stretch out before you. It was built in 1925 and is gracefully situated at the base of a hill, just minutes from the sea. Its Neptune fountain adds to the carefree, wealthy 1920s feel, and is a replica of a fountain from Bologna, Italy.
There's not much here now, as far as stores, but the Malaga Cove Ranch Market has some great deli sandwiches, pizza, and health-food store items. Come here after a long walk on the sea cliffs at Paseo Del Mar.
Another Place to Visit Nearby
An absolute "don't miss this one!" while you're in the area, is Wayfarer's Chapel, a short drive through the open, wilderness area of Palos Verdes. Once there, you'll find a peaceful sanctuary, a glass chapel tucked amongst pines overlooking the sea and Abalone Cove.
