Seaview Park, Channel Islands Harbor

Seaview Park is a large, grassy park with little hills to play on. There is plenty of shade, and there are picnic tables. I'm not sure what the story is with the old men that hang out there so make sure it's safe. There are two playgrounds, and little pathways to walk along. This area is a pretty piece of suburbia, boring but nice.

While you're in the area, a nice place to go is Oxnard Beach, where kids can play on the sand dunes. Channel Islands Harbor has some fun activities on holidays. Via Marina Park is another pleasant neighborhood park nearby. Peninsula Park is a great park by the harbor where kids can watch the boats go by and toddlers will like the playground.
A really nice outing is Port Hueneme Pier, with its white sandy beach and its interesting history.
For some more history, head over to Downtown Oxnard and Heritage Square, with its Victorian houses- at Christmas time the houses are decorated beautifully and you can do a tour.

From Channel Islands Blvd, turn north on Patterson Rd. Turn left on Oarfish Ln. At the end, turn right and park along the road.
