The best way to travel between the lakefront towns on Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) is by ferry! The trains are also very convenient, but the ferry is exhilarating! It is a pleasant ride, smooth and very fast. Use the SBB Mobile app to find the time of the next train or ferry. Avoid the bus in this area because it is extremely bumpy and even injured me. If I had stayed longer on Lake Geneva I would have taken every possible ferry ride. But the one I did was to Chillon Castle, which is particularly gorgeous to see from the water. There are not very many trains that stop at Chillon Castle, so plan for the ferry, and you won't regret it.
