The Biltmore area is the fancy area of Phoenix. Lush with tropical flowers and palms, and backed by pretty granite mountains, the Biltmore neighborhood is a nice place to explore. Fountains and flowerpots abound at the Biltmore Fashion Plaza, making it a pretty place to shop: check out the Papyrus gift shop and the Apple store. There is plenty of shade and misters to keep you cool. Park in the back for easy, free parking. If you're hungry, try Zinburger, for burgers that aren't salty or greasy. There are also big chain restaurants like California Pizza Kitchen, Panera Bread (which is great if you have kids because it's counter-service) or Cheesecake Factory.
Nearby, the Arizona Biltmore Resort is interesting to stroll around. Drive up the palm-lined drive and you feel relaxed and ready to explore. Opened in 1929, this hotel is one of the oldest resort hotels in America and many stars have frequented the hotel.
Nearby, take a buns-of-steel hike at Squaw Peak Park, where cute little saguaro cactus that line the mountain will inspire you to continue on despite the heat!
Avoid driving around this area during peak hour traffic, from 5-7pm.
The Biltmore Fashion Plaza is located at 2502 E. Camelback Rd, on the corner of E. Camelback and N. 24th St.
The Arizona Biltmore Resort is located at 2400 E. Missouri Ave, just a few blocks north of the Fashion Plaza.
