Paradise Beach Park, Melbourne
Paradise Beach Park has a large playground for kids, next to bbqs, and just steps from the stairs that lead to the sand! The beach itself is nice, with some imported white sand covering the darker sand.
The wooden-style playground, with wood chips for ground, has three big slides lined up next to each other for races. There is a better-than-usual rock climbing rock. Baby swings and swings look out on the cabbage palms by the bbqs. There isn't much shade on the actual playground, though the bbqs are nicely shaded.
Afterward, have a meal in Melbourne town which has a cute main strip.
