Savannah Botanical Gardens is a small garden in an out-of-the-way spot in Savannah. It isn't worth driving far for, but if you're in the area anyway, such as visiting Wormsloe State Historic Site, which is six minutes drive away, then check it out. It's nice for a ten minute stroll.
The garden is on a flat piece of land behind a white two-story house. There are a few flowers in pots here and there, a few statues, and a pond. There is a kids area off to the side, near the parking lot, but it's very humble.
The garden was empty when we were there on an afternoon in Spring Break, but a couple arrived as we left.
The neighborhood around the garden is not very nice- just endless strip malls.
To be honest, I was a bit bummed about how much time we spent waiting at traffic lights to get to this garden when we could have been doing other things in Savannah.
Savannah Botanical Gardens is located at 1388 Eisenhower Rd, Savannah GA 31406.
Free admission.
Open daily 7:30-5:30.
