Four blocks of downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street are covered in a canopy that acts, at night, as a screen for a lights show every hour. Stars twinkle, guitars float across the sky- it's magical.
Other than that, this is the seedy area of Vegas, where the odds are better for gambling than on the Strip, so the real die-hard gamblers hang out here. It's a rundown area with tacky stores, but you might win if you gamble here!
Hurry back to The Strip when you're done checking out Fremont Street. Something you definitely don't want to miss at night is the fountain show at The Bellagio, where the jets spray up higher than you could ever imagine, and they move in unexpected ways!
Fremont Street Experience is located on Fremont Street from Main Street to 4th Street. Click "satellite" to see the canopy from above.
From Freeway 15, follow the signs to Downtown Las Vegas. Once you exit the freeway, find a metered parking along one of the side streets and walk to Fremont Street.
The free six-minute lights show is every hour on the hour, starting around 6pm and ending around 1am, depending on the season.
The address is 425 Fremont Street, Las Vegas 89101.
