Apollo Lake, or Apollo Community Regional Park, is a peaceful spot. Families gather to fish here. Ducks waddle along. Couples read the paper while relaxing on the dock. There are plenty of trees and the water in the lake is clean and blue.

When driving to the lake, it's an odd feeling. It doesn't seem possible there could be a lake in such extreme desert. But all of a sudden, there you are! There are trees and there's water!
The playground has two shade covers, tunnel slides, and plenty of ladders. There are swings of all sorts and telephones to talk into.
I definitely recommend you come here to get your fill of nature and greenery if you're in Lancaster!
After, grab a meal at The Boulevard, the main strip of downtown that has a nice atmosphere. It's a 15 minute drive from the lake.
