El Scorpion Canyon Trail, West Hills
Even though you're in LA, there is actually lots of nature all around you! Take the wide, hard-packed El Scorpion Trail to immerse yourself in it! As you walk the winding path, under an occasional oak tree, you see the cutest pointy mountain peak, Castle Peak, on your side! The trail meanders over the little hills for several kilometers. You can choose between several different routes, including a loop that goes to the top of Castle Peak.
The view when you arrive and park your car is very nice, with Italian cypress trees, hedges, and green lawns.
After, eat a meal while your child scales the the huge climby at Topanga Village outdoor mall, a nine minute drive east.

El Scorpion Canyon Trail is located at 24438 Vanowen St, West Hills, CA. You can park your car along the road at 6800 Sunset Ridge Court.
