Paseo Del Mar Clifftop Walk, Palos Verdes

Paseo Del Mar is a road lined with multimillion-dollar homes in the planned community of Palos Verdes. The beauty is that the homes only line the side of the street opposite the sea, leaving the side directly above the sea open to all! You can take a long walk on this clifftop trail, and peak down at the stunning rocky coves below. The beach is far down, which makes you feel like you're on top of the world!

When you get hungry, head over to Malaga Cove Plaza to enjoy a deli sandwich or fresh-baked pizza at Malaga Cove Ranch Market.
An absolute "don't miss this one!" while you're in the area is Wayfarer's Chapel, a short drive through the open, wilderness area of Palos Verdes. Once there, you'll find a peaceful sanctuary, a glass chapel tucked amongst pines overlooking the sea and Abalone Cove.

Directions

From Highway 1 southbound, after you've driven through the town of Redondo Beach, turn right on Palos Verdes Blvd. Head south on Palos Verdes Blvd, and turn right at the triangle, onto Palos Verdes Dr West. There are several turnoffs to Paseo Del Mar and several different paths above the sea. We pulled onto Paseo Del Mar after a lookout parking lot (the triangle in the road on the map below- click "satellite" to see the lookout parking lot). After pulling onto Paseo Del Mar, you can park along the street and then take the walking path.
