Ulua Beach is a lovely beach to watch the sunset and have a swim. It is backed by a pricey condo resort. Ulua Beach is separated from Mokapu Beach in the north by a small rock jetty.
This is the northern end of the Wailea Beach Path. Follow it south for 1.5 miles to Polo Beach. You will pass resorts, and best of all stunning ocean views framed by twisted trees and flowers! The southernmost third is my favorite- it feels like you're in Greece! Come very early in the morning, or in the evening, to beat the heat.
Just south of Ulua Beach (300m), stroll the Wailea Beach Path in the evening to a large open area and mound where a tree is lit up with long string lights in all directions. What a romantic walk under the palm trees!
An excellent aquarium 24 minutes north is Maui Ocean Center, a good place to go in the middle of the day when you've had enough sun.
The public parking lot is on the north end of Ulua Beach at the end of Ulua Beach Rd. There are restrooms.
