Atlantic Beach Town Park

Atlantic Beach Town Park has some good features and some disappointing features. There is a great skate park, and a small mini-golf place. The views of the dunes are cute here. There is not much shade, except at the toddler playground. The big kid playground is sorely lacking, as the spinner is missing its wood chips so it's too high off the ground to use. The seesaw looks rusty. There are swings and baby swings. And there's a strongly chlorinated splash pad- the kind with sprays shooting vertically up. You cannot walk to the beach from here as it's fenced off, which is a shame.

Atlantic Beach Town Park is located at 915 W Fort Macon Rd, Atlantic Beach, NC 28512. There is a large free parking lot.
