It's a pleasure to walk Market Street in downtown Wilmington to see an abundance of historic mansions and churches. The streets are tree-lined so you are mostly in the shade, and you will see all varieties of southern trees like magnolia trees. You can walk all the way from the Riverwalk, at Water Street and Market Street, where you can see a juggler and find wonderful waterfront cafes, past Front Street with its youthful bars and coffee shops, and then inland to the mansions and churches. Take some side streets off Market Street to see even more great sights! Don't forget to check out the basilica!
Park along the road at Market Street and 3rd Street and walk along Market Street and its side streets to see the mansions, churches, and tree-lined streets.
