St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum is a small museum across from the Castillo de San Marcos. Here you can see some interesting treasure- the real thing not replicas- that was found at various shipwrecks in Florida and the US. The museum is themed so that there is a lot of piratey atmosphere. Kids can shoot a cannon which makes a loud noise. There isn't that much else that is interactive for kids in this museum. It only takes about half an hour to walk around and read about the pirates, shipwrecks, and treasure. In this way, the museum is overpriced, a common theme in St. Augustine.
There are a few places I really recommend going in St Augustine: the Castillo de San Marcos, the Mission Nombre de Dios, and the area around the old town by the Lightner Museum and Flagler College with its terra cotta architecture. Also nice is to sit outside and have a cup of tea on the patio of the Chocolate Turtle in the quieter part of town.
