KMA Mall, Kapolei

KMA, or Ka Makana Ali'i, Mall is a fantastic outdoor mall in the newer suburb of Kapolei. It has many palms trees, pleasant public spaces, and tropical-themed attractive architecture. It's really handy if you are staying at Ko Olina or nearby, as you can find many affordable places to eat. We loved HI Steaks, inside Foodland Farms Market. It is a counter-service cafe with outdoor seating that is pleasant, surrounded by tropical plants. We each got a brown rice bowl with steak and amazing Okinawan purple potatoes plus two other sides of your choice. It felt great to be able to eat healthy food that was not too salty- this is hard to find on vacation! A really friendly place is Koa Pancake House, also a counter-service cafe. Here we had mochi pancakes with a whole selection of delicious syrups. Our favorite syrup was the coconut one! They also have egg breakfasts. We also had boba tea at Infinitea but it made us feel a bit sick after. There are some large sit-down restaurants too such as California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, and Kickin Kajun. Milky Cereal Bar is a modern ice cream shop with unique cereal toppings. 

There are some fun places for kids, such as Kids City, an indoor playground with kitchen pretend-play, a giant ball pit with clear balls, train set, lego wall, dinosaur toy table, veterinarian examination room, fishing pool, inflatable slide, play house, and rope climbey to the ceiling. Next door is a slime-making place. Kids also enjoy the Thinker Toys store. 
For shopping, there's Macy's, Hawaiian Island Creations Surf Shop, American Eagle, Jeans Warehouse, and Zumiez. 
At Christmastime there's a tree with an arch you can walk under- great for selfies! Kids can take train rides.
After have a swim at gorgeous Ko Olina Beach.

KMA Mall is located at 91-5431 Kapolei Pkwy, Kapolei, HI 96707. There is plenty of free parking in the huge lot.
