Heisler Park is one of the most beautiful spots in California. It is perched on cliffs above little coves and rocks. There isn't much shade to be had on the grass but you can stand under the trees at the railing and enjoy the view. Look way down below you through lush palms at the incredible blue-green water. Ocean in California rarely looks this vibrant and turquoise! It looks tropical, which beguiles the ice-chilled breeze.
Walk down to Main Beach along the 1.5km oceanfront path, with lovely views around every turn. Take the stairs down to explore the tidepools at Bird Rock Beach. Another sweet little cove below is Rockpile Beach. Then have a gelato in Laguna Beach town and delight in its alleys and architecture.
Cleo Street Beach also has tide pools. It is a seventeen minute walk south from Heisler Beach.
While in Laguna Beach, don't miss out on seeing the Rapunzel Tower on the rocks at Victoria Beach.
From Highway 1, turn toward the ocean on Myrtle St. Turn left on Cliff Dr and park along the road in one of the two lots. These fill up fast so come early. You can also park on one of the residential streets on the other side of Highway 1.
The address is 375 Cliff Dr, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.
