San Clemente Beach Trail is a wide path of hard-packed dirt that runs behind the railroad tracks along the water. The trail runs from North Beach, past T-Street Pier, and all the way south to Calafia State Beach. The ADA accessible parts are from North Beach to Mariposa, and then slightly further along, from Linda Lane to the pier. The entire trail is 2.5 miles one way, past flowers and cliffs, with the calming ocean always at your side!

Halfway along, stop at the base of T-Street Beach Pier at some cute cafes, with outdoor seating and colorful umbrellas. You can choose from Bear Coast Coffee, Caterino's Gelato and Smoothies, La Galette Creperie, and Pierside Kitchen. On the pier is Fisherman's Restaurant, with tables and blue umbrellas right over the water.
Sometimes you can see pods of dolphins from the trail. There are benches and fire pits where you can stop to enjoy the views.
There are some homeless people camping along the trail occasionally, and especially at the North Beach end.
A nice place to begin the trail is Linda Lane Park, where there is a green lawn and cute playground for kids. Here you will find a parking lot.
