Sea Summit Trail, Pico Park, San Clemente
From Pico Park in San Clemente, you can take a gorgeous hike through silvery sagebrush up high above the ocean. It's lovely to breath the fragrant shrubs while looking at the sparkling sea, rows of palms, beach houses, and T-Street Beach Pier. The path is cute with staircases and wooden railposts, winding through the low vegetation. After, let your child play on the space age playground which has some good climbing opportunities even for grown ups!
The trail runs for 1000m, past Vista Del Sol Park, and to Via Artemesia. Come in the morning when the golden stalks of ornamental grass catch the sunlight. There is no shade so come early or late in the day.

Pico Park is located at 315 Avenida Pico, San Clemente, CA 92672. The trailhead leaves from the park. There is a parking lot with free parking.
