The Orchard Shopping Center, Lake Forest
It's fun to check out the stores at The Orchard. The best one is Daiso Japanese Variety Market, which has all manner of fun things from Japan! You can find stationery, stickers, fake plants/flowers, plushies, kitchen gadgets, snacks- small in size and inexpensive. Kids love this store. Nearby is Five Below, another variety store that kids love, with items under $5. Have a boba tea together at Sharetea, which has pleasant indoor seating. The mini boba pearls seem safer to me as far as choking hazard. They also have a Yogurtland, Jamba Juice, Peet's Coffee, and The Habit Burger.
After, have a long stroll at Serrano Creek Park, which has a gorgeous eucalyptus forest, paved paths, and a cute playground for young kids.

The Orchard is located at 23620 El Toro Rd, Lake Forest, CA 92630. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lots.
