Bill Frederick Park is an immaculate, beautiful park! Here you find a bike path that goes along Turkey Lake past lovely vistas and cypress trees. Along the bike path there are many picnic gazebos with basic BBQ areas. There is a swimming pool directly on the lake, and a long fishing pier popular with residents.
It's a shame that this park costs $4 to enter (unless you enter on bike, which is free), because the path has no joggers or people strolling. The playground is empty of moms, and there is no one having a BBQ at the many gazebos. What a waste! I don't know why the city pays to have someone at the guard shack if no one can afford to come here! The only people that seem to be using this park are fishermen.
Bill Frederick Park is located at 3401 S Hiawassee Rd, Orlando, FL 32835. Entrance is $4, which is way too steep for a neighborhood park. Entrance should be free. Entering by bike is free.
