Green Springs Park, Deltona
Green Springs Park is a beautiful park with jungly trees and a milky green spring to view (you can't swim in it). It's a very short paved walk around the park and to the springs. There's a nice, modern playground too. Don't come at sunset because there's mosquitoes.
The park is in a magical little town called Deltona, popular with retirees, and full of sparkling blue views of Lake Monroe. Bikers like to drive Lakeshore Drive. The views are fantastic, under a canopy of gorgeous trees, and with blue water beside you.
Pick up a picnic at the pretty Publix store and have a picnic. Or if you don't mind an 18 minute drive, eat at Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe in Sanford, a German cafe that is a ton of fun and often has live oom pa pa music.
