Kelsey Park is a pretty park along the intracoastal waterway. The sand is so white here, the water such a gorgeous spectrum of blue-greens, and the wave wall enhances it all. There is a creative playground with large fish climby, swings, and a regular climbing structure. A fountain with sculptured females holding water pots stands in the middle of the walkway. There are tennis courts and gazebos with water views. Across the water, you can see the highrises on Singer Island. There is a lovely view of the Blue Heron Blvd bridge that leads to Singer Island's Riviera Beach, one of my favorite beaches for a clear-water swim.
Some of the people hanging around didn't make me feel 100% safe but it was mostly families.
If you're hungry, drive three minutes north to Frigate's Waterfront Grill to enjoy super atmosphere on the water.
Exit Highway 95 at Northlake Blvd and follow it toward the ocean all the way to the end. Turn right on Lake Shore Dr. After about seven blocks the park is on your left. There is a small parking lot up a short steep incline.
The address is 725 Lake Shore Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33403.
