Lake Wyman Park, Boca Raton

There aren't too many great places to walk in Boca Raton, but this park has a short asphalt loop trail with fitness equipment alongside the trail. It is quite shady in the morning. There is a nice little spot with banyan trees that leads to a tall playground (James A. Rutherford Park) that looks like a lot of fun. Another playground is located by the ball fields. The walk takes you around the ball fields and by a canal. You can't access the intracoastal.

The walk is 1km if you include the little detour under the banyan trees to James Rutherford Park. You could make it a mile long by also walking the sidewalk along the parking lot at James Rutherford Park though that area is quite deserted. It is quite lush though, and very shady in the morning.
After, have a coffee at Mizner Outdoor Mall, a five minute drive south.

Lake Wyman Park is located at 1500 NE 5th Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33432. There is a parking lot. You could also park at James Rutherford Park which is located at 600 NE 24th St, Boca Raton, FL 33431, and is quite empty.
