Cite Universitaire is a complex of forty residences for students, with cafeterias, classrooms, and beautiful lawns. Each building is themed after a country and some of the residents are from that country. The oldest building, from 1925, is Fondation Deutsch de la Meurthe, with six buildings built around a gorgeous quad with flowers and trees and an administrative building with a romantic clock tower. In early May, this area is incredible with its flowering plum trees.
The main building which you enter across from the RER station looks like a castle! What a delight! Here, there is a fancy lobby and a cafe with huge windows.
Stroll around and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. Or, even better, do a study abroad or French language program that allows you to stay here for a month or more. It will be the best time of your life!
Across the street is the magical Parc Montsouris.
Cite Universitaire is located at 17 Boulevard Jourdan, 75014 Paris, France. It is across the street from the Cite Universitaire RER metro station.
