Spreckels Park Playground, Coronado Island
Along Orange Ave on Coronado Island is Spreckels Park, a large 8-acre square park with grand trees and a huge playground! There is a tree with a huge flower planter around it. At the end of the day, the shadows in this park look gorgeous, and the huge eucalyptus trees are golden in the light. Kids love running and climbing on the playground here. It's fun to stop here after a meal on Orange Ave in Coronado Town.
The playground has double slides you can race on, a twisty slide, small climbing wall onto the playground, a tunnel, monkey bars, spinner, baby swings, regular swings, full seat swing, and shade canopies.
There are summer concerts at the gazebo on Sundays at 6pm.
A Greek-style church called Sacred Heart Church, with a blue dome, is located next to the park.

Spreckels Park is located at 601 Orange Ave, between 6th and 7th street. There is parking along the road and on the side streets. You sometimes have to search for it.
