Dunphy Park has some benches with lovely views of the bay. The scene is perfect there on a sunny afternoon, with water kissing the shore and sailboats going by. A wild, unkept lawn glistens with daisies, and lovers lay beneath the willow trees. This is an easy place to stop after a long drive.
The park sits on a landfill with possible oil pipelines beneath, but is currently being revamped and will have new benches, pathways, and lighting.

A pretty scene looking across the bay from Dunphy Park.

Lovers chat under the willow tree, surrounded by daisies.

Directions

From Highway 101, also called Highway 1, just after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge going north, exit at Sausalito. Follow Bridgeway Rd past several streets, and then turn left on Napa Street. There will be a messy harbor area called Cass' Marina on your left and the park will be on your right.

I'm so thankful there's a park like this close to where I live.
