Poplar Beach
Poplar Beach is in a neighborhood of homes just south of Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay. There is a great bike path along the cliffs. Little trails lead down from the cliffs to the beach, where powerful surf pounds on the sand. It's an invigorating and lovely place to walk! Bring a jacket!

From Hwy 1, turn off where the sign says "Poplar Beach." At the end of the road, turn right and then take the Poplar Street down to the ocean, where there is a parking lot. Ignore the homemade signs by locals that try to get you not to go to the beach! The beach belongs to all!
